Some information tools on the World-Wide-Web
Here, we want to show you some tools which will help you to find a specific
information. Furthermore, we present some "highlights" like
electronical journals or starting of programs.
Some searching tools on the WWW
- Search Engines
- A search engine is a program which helps you to find servers that
provide certain information. After
connecting to a search engine
you mostly have to enter a keyword and the engine will start
searching.
- List of WWW-Servers
- The Free University of Berlin provides a
list of German WWW-servers. You may use it, if you already know
which organization or university you want to contact.
- Software archives
- Here, you find a
list of organizations that provide information about software and
even software programs that you are allowed to copy.
